Recently, e+Solutions (ePlus) was honoured to partner with the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong in the “Let Me Fly” Internship Scheme 2026, offering a one-week internship to two Secondary 5 students, respectively. Through comprehensive internship arrangements and guidance, the interns were able to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department, gaining an in-depth understanding of the smart logistics and eCommerce industry’s development. These valuable workplace experiences allowed them to discover their personal interests and potential, laying a clear foundation for their future academic and career planning.
The programme is organised by the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong and funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau’s Jockey Club Scheme for Youth Life Planning (2025–28) under the L.I.F.E. PLANNING project. YMCA has long been dedicated to caring for the developmental needs of young people. Through activities such as job interview skills training and summer work internships, the programme helps students from Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 plan their future academic and career pathways and enhance their workplace experiences, ensuring they are well-prepared for subject selection, further studies, and entering the workforce.

Exploring New Horizons in Marketing
The two interns: Bo Yi and Jack, participated in this programme, each undertaking a one-week Marketing internship training at ePlus. We specially designed a comprehensive training programme tailored to both students: Bo Yi learned to write blog articles, use Adobe Illustrator for visual design, and master the basic operations of Microsoft Excel; while Jack, in addition to writing blog articles, learning Adobe Illustrator, and operating the basic functions of Microsoft Excel, was also introduced to more digital marketing tasks, including data organization and Google Ads advertising campaigns.
Throughout the internship, the ePlus team shared relevant work techniques and industry knowledge, enabling the two students to progressively grasp the essentials of marketing and promotion, while building a solid foundation in Marketing concepts. They also gained firsthand exposure to the vibrancy and innovation of the eCommerce logistics industry in this era of digital transformation.
Internship Outcomes and Feedback
Within just one week of the internship training, both students demonstrated outstanding learning ability and adaptability. Faced with entirely new areas of work, they quickly grasped key concepts and proactively discussed challenges with team members, striving to optimise their work outcomes.
Bo Yi initially held a rather one-dimensional impression of the logistics industry, believing it was limited to delivery and warehousing operations. After the internship, she gained a completely fresh perspective on the industry, realizing that logistics companies also encompass diverse business areas such as online store management and marketing, while the technological advancements in warehousing far exceeded her expectations. She particularly came to appreciate the power of words through the process of writing blog articles, understanding that every word choice directly reflects the message and tone a brand wishes to convey to its customers. When faced with Adobe Illustrator for the first time, she proactively sought guidance from colleagues and searched for online tutorials on her own, ultimately completing her tasks successfully. This internship also boosted her confidence in pursuing a career in Marketing, providing a more solid foundation for her future academic direction.
Jack, on the other hand, was deeply impressed by the technological advancement of the logistics industry, particularly how modern logistics leverages AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) to achieve automation and intelligent operations, keeping pace with the eCommerce market. What he found most eye-opening during the internship was his exposure to Google Ads, which gave him an entirely new perspective on “marketing”. He discovered that marketing is not limited to face-to-face promotion, but can also precisely reach target audiences through keyword advertising. Through learning Microsoft Excel, he further discovered his interest in data processing, and began to consider the possibility of pursuing a future career in fields related to data application and analytics.

ePlus will continue to uphold the philosophy of “Inheritance and Innovation”, actively promoting collaboration with various academic institutions and social service organizations. Through offering diverse workplace experiences and site visits, we aim to help young people discover their potential, plan their future career paths, and deepen their understanding of the eCommerce logistics industry, cultivating a new generation of talent with innovative thinking and injecting sustained momentum into the industry.
