Recently, e+Solutions (ePlus) collaborated with the Hong Kong Christian Service to provide a two-day internship experience for Form 4 and Form 5 students participating in CLAP@JC. Through this real-world work experience in the eCommerce logistics industry, interns were able to explore their interests, gain a deeper understanding of job responsibilities and their personal traits, and learn how to tackle various challenges in the business environment, preparing them for future studies and careers.
CLAP@JC actively responds to students’ career planning needs and supports their growth. Community Connectors work with community partners to provide “Expanded Career Support Services” to selected schools, promoting career development support within schools and establishing community career planning strategies. This service caters to students with diverse talents and inclinations across 24 selected network schools. The project encourages young people to explore future career directions, helping them transition smoothly from school to work, unleash their potential, and pursue limitless possibilities.

Diverse Workplace Experiences
Ben, Yan, and Michael joined ePlus as interns through CLAP@JC’s Expanded Career Support Services, taking on roles in warehouse operation, graphic design, and video editing respectively. Coming from different backgrounds with varying personalities, interests, and skills, they shared one common trait – no prior work experience. In light of this, ePlus not only shared relevant work skills and prospects in the eCommerce logistics industry but also tailored internship content based on each individual’s abilities and interests:
- Warehouse Operation Intern: Assisted with daily operations in the automated eCommerce Fulfillment Center, including inventory management, storage management, order picking and packaging, and courier arrangements
- Graphic Design Intern: Designed promotional images for social media and website articles
- Video Editing Intern: Participated in conceptualizing and editing company promotional video
Internship Outcomes and Feedback
In these two days, the three interns demonstrated impressive learning abilities and work enthusiasm. They not only completed their assigned tasks but also actively shared new ideas and creative thinking with their workplace mentors. The internship focused on four core elements:
- Learning practical workplace skills to enhance interns’ understanding of job responsibilities
- Interacting with mentors and colleagues to improve interpersonal and communication skills
- Discovering personal potential and understanding strengths and weaknesses to guide future career planning
- Experiencing workplace culture early on, learning to handle various challenges in the business environment, and enhancing personal adaptability and flexibility
Michael found that the internship helped him understand the practical applications of video editing in the workplace and taught him how to express his ideas to superiors or clients. Yan remarked, ” Thanks for the internship. I never thought I could independently complete graphic designs, and everyone liked my work.” After the two-day internship in the warehouse, Ben greatly appreciated the efficient operation of Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and gained a comprehensive understanding of eCommerce logistics and warehouse operation.

ePlus will continue to focus on a trajectory of “Inheritance and Innovation”, striving to attract the younger generation to the industry, promoting knowledge exchange, and injecting new thinking and vitality. The objective of this internship program is to assist students in comprehending the value and competencies required for various professions, thereby enabling them to gain insight into their own capabilities and consider potential career pathways.
