Recently, e+Solutions (ePlus) joined hands with the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA) to provide a two-week workplace experience for secondary school students participating in the ” Business-School Partnership Programme 2025″. Through customized training and professional mentorship, students not only got to experience the workplace environment firsthand, but also gained in-depth understanding of the operational models and development prospects of the logistics and eCommerce industries, thereby exploring their personal interests and laying a foundation for future academic and career planning.
Since 2009, CMA‘s “Business-School Partnership Programme” has facilitated internship matches between member enterprises and students from CMA Secondary Schools, CMA Choi Cheung Kok Secondary School, and other partner institutions. The initiative supports corporate commitments of “Environmental, Social, and Governance” (ESG) while providing students with practical workplace training and exposure beyond classroom learning, helping them develop clear career aspirations and professional readiness.
Workplace Experience in Digital Marketing
Two Form 4 students, Ammiel and Jerry, underwent training as digital marketing trainees at ePlus through this programme. They participated in various practical tasks, including marketing material design, social media promotion planning, and market data analysis. Based on their individual strengths and interests, we tailored specific assignments: Ammiel, skilled in digital illustration, contributed to brand visual design including mascot creation, while Jerry focused on market research and data compilation. Through professional guidance and industry insights, our team helped them progressively develop digital marketing promotional skills and competencies.
During the internship programme, the two students were also arranged to visit our smart logistics center in Tai Wo Hau, where they personally experienced the complete logistics process from receiving, picking and packing, to shipping. Through on-site observation, they learned how ePlus leverages innovative technology to enhance operational efficiency, deliver precise fulfillment services, and drive both local and cross-border eCommerce growth.
Internship Outcomes and Feedback
In just two weeks, both Ammiel and Jerry demonstrated outstanding learning ability and adaptability. Facing new work challenges, they not only quickly mastered the requirements of various tasks, but also proactively proposed creative suggestions, injecting creativity into the projects.
Ammiel said that this internship experience solidified his determination to pursue a career in content creation and graphic design. Leveraging his passion for drawing and creation, he actively participated in designing promotional materials for social media. At the same time, he also assisted in market research, analysing online information to gain in-depth insights into the latest trends and future developments in the logistics industry.
Jerry believed that this internship programme gave him a more comprehensive understanding of digital marketing, further confirming his aspiration to study a business administration degree in university. He used tools such as Google Keyword Planner to help analyse and organise ePlus‘ Google Ads data. Through this experience, he realised that marketing requires not only creativity, but also strategic thinking and data analysis skills.
ePlus will continue to uphold the philosophy of “Inheritance and Innovation”, actively partnering with various universities and organizations to conduct career exploration programmes. Through different business-school partnership programmes, ePlus aims not only to contribute to Hong Kong’s ESG development, but also to provide the younger generation with more diverse workplace experiences and deeper industry insights, helping them discover their potential, understand the future prospects of the logistics industry, and cultivate innovative talents for the sector.
